Fracture is a medical condition in which the bone loses its continuity due to breakage. The breaking of bone appears due to stress and force impact. Osteoporosis and bone cancer may also lead to the fracture of bones. Fractures may occur as a result of pathological conditions or accidents. 

CPT Code For Closed Reduction Nasal Fracture

In the closed reduction of nasal fracture, the fractured bone of the nose is set (reduced) without any surgical opening. The bone is set back to its original place for normal functioning and growth. The CPT codes used for closed reduction nasal fracture are 21310 and 21315. 

CPT Code For Orif Distal Radius Fracture

Distal radius fracture may be intraarticular or extraarticular. It can be treated by ORIF procedure. In this procedure, the bone is surgically set by making an opening. Hardware is used to set the pieces of bone together. The CPT code used for this is 25607- 09. 

CPT Code For Orif Olecranon Fracture

Olecranon is the bony part of the elbow. Most commonly fractures appear to this bone (proximally attaches with ulna). Open surgery is required for the restoration of normal bone and growth. Internal fixation requires hardware for setting the bone and its pieces together. The CPT code is 24685.

CPT Code For Closed Reduction Nasal Fracture With Manipulation

Manipulation of a nasal fracture is the procedure of restoration of the bone to its original place. A surgical opening is not required in closed nasal fracture restoration. This procedure is performed after 5 or 6 days of fracture. The CPT code for closed reduction with manipulation is 21310.

CPT Code Closed Treatment Acetabular Fracture

The acetabular fracture appears at the ball and socket joint of the hip. This bone fracture is not common and appears as a result of a severe accident or injury. This can be treated with closed treatment i.e. the surgical opening is not required. The CPT code is 27222. 

CPT Code For Closed Reduction Of Proximal Humerus Fracture

The fracture in the upper part of the bone of the arm is the proximal humerus fracture. The fractured bone can be restored or fixed to its original position without any surgical opening, this is called closed reduction. The CPT code is 24582. 

CPT Code For Orif Bimalleolar Ankle Fracture

In bimalleolar fracture, both medial and lateral malleolus bones of the ankle are involved. This fracture is treated with open reduction and internal fixation. A surgical opening is required for bone setting and fixation. The CPT code for this procedure is 27822.

CPT Code For Orif Intertrochanteric Hip Fracture

Intertrochanteric is the junction of two trochanters in the hip. Fracture of the intertrochanteric junction involves both the trochanters. This can be restored or fixed by making a surgical opening to the bone. The CPT code is 27245.

CPT Code For Total Hip Arthroplasty For Femoral Neck Fracture

27236 is the CPT code used for the restoration of the fractured femoral bone of the neck. This can be done with total hip arthroscopy. In total hip arthroscopy, the fractured or defected bones are replaced by the prosthetic components. A metal stem is placed in the place of a damaged femoral head.
