 Harlequin Rasboras is a fish and has many types. These fishes are endemic in the areas of Southeast Asia. The other name of these fishes is Red Rasboras. These Harlequin Rasboras fishes are usually found in the areas of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and many other countries in the world. These fishes are the most popular all over the globe. The Harlequin Rasbora fishes are very small in size. Their size may vary from 1 inch to 2 inches. These fishes are mostly grown up to 1.75 inches. These fishes do not usually grow up to the size of 2 inches. According to their size, they require a small tank. 

Harlequin Rasbora Breeding

If you want to succeed in the breeding of these fishes. You should take a pair of female fish for each male who lives in the tank and put all of them in a separate large or small tank. If you provide them with a large tank, the female fishes get spawn easily. Make sure there are large and broad-leaf plants in the tank because when the female fishes lay eggs they protect their eggs under the large and broad-leaves. These fishes do not eat their eggs. The female fishes require freshwater for breeding.

Harlequin Rasbora Care

The care of these fishes is not difficult for anyone. Everyone knows about their care. These fishes require a freshwater environment. They also live a long lifespan in these types of water. These fishes do not feel comfortable in any other type of freshwater. They like to live in the freshwater of ponds and streams. You should check their tank water daily. Make sure when you change their tank water it would be purified by any type of chemical and bacteria. If these Harlequin Rasboras fishes live in dirty water for a long time, they will die soon. 

Harlequin Rasbora Tank Size 

The Harlequin Rasboras fishes are very small in size. These fishes require a small tank to live in because they feel comfortable in the small tank. These fishes require a planted and colorful tank and also require a lot of water to live a longer lifespan. Their water measurements may vary from 8 gallons to 10 gallons. For each couple of these Harlequin Rasboras fishes, 5 gallons of water is enough. They can easily swim and balance their fins in the freshwater and a small tank. 

Harlequin Rasbora Tank Mates 

These Harlequin Rasboras fishes are small, and they also enjoy the company of small fishes. They do not like large fishes who live in the tank. They also do not play with them. These fishes play with the other small species that look like them. Eight to ten groups of these fishes can easily adjust in the small tank. When they play with their tank mates and the other small fishes, they feel healthy. If you put them with the large fish within the large tank, they do not feel comfortable, also they become sad and bored.
