The Red Sindhi emerged in the Pakistani province of Sindh, but because of its resilience, temperature tolerance, and large dairy output, it has spread across India as well as at least 33 countries in Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.

After feeding their calves, the Red Sindhi produces over 1700 kg of milk on average, but under ideal circumstances, milk yields of over 3400 kg per lactation have been reported.

A Red Sindhi cow stands at an average height of 116 cm and weighs 340 kg. Bulls stand 134 cm tall and weigh 420 kg on average. They are typically a deep, rich red color, but can range from yellowish-brown to dark brown. Males are darker than females and when growing older, their extremities, such as their head, feet, and tail, may completely black.

    It was Originated in Hyderabad, Pakistan, and then brought to the Indian state of Bikaner. The breed has been used for crossbreeding with warmer-dairy cattle species to achieve traits, such as heat resistance, tick resistance, resistance to disease, and higher milk yields in tropical regions.

    Red Sindhi Cow Weight & Height

    The average weight of the Male breed is around 500 - 550kg with a height of 132cm while the female weighs between 300 - 350kg with an average height of 115cm.

    The amount of milk produced per lactation ranges between 1200 - 2000 liters. In some cases, even a higher rate of milk yield has been recorded.
